The Ms. Foundation for Women (MFW) was founded by Patricia T. Carbine, Letty Cottin Pogrebin, Gloria Steinem, and Marlo Thomas to redistribute profits from Ms. Magazine to the grassroots women's movement. In 1974, the Ms. Foundation established its first grant-making program with the proceeds from Free to Be...
